CBD Lentil Soup
Lentil soup is often considered bland and boring — until you enjoy a bowl and remember how comforting, rich, and flavorful it can be.

| Medium carrot, diced | 120 g |
| Celery stalk, diced | 80 g |
| Garlic cloves, minced | 6 g |
| Vegetable or chicken broth | 950 mL |
| Canned crushed tomatoes | 425 g |
| Yellow or red lentils, rinsed | 240 g |
| Ground cumin | 5 g |
| Sherry vinegar | 5 mL |
| Cooked bacon, crumbled | 4 slices |
| Croutons | 50 g |
Instructions
1. In a large pot, heat the CBD oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Sauté 7–9 minutes until vegetables are tender.
2. Add the broth, tomatoes, lentils, and cumin. Simmer for about 45 minutes.
3. Stir in the vinegar, then serve the soup topped with crumbled bacon and crispy croutons.
Chef’s tips: For a heartier soup, add chicken, sausages, or even hot dog pieces. Reduce the broth by 250 mL for a thicker stew-like texture. For freshness and color, stir in 90 g of baby spinach just before serving.
