| Name | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Unsalted Butter | 454 g |
| Water | 60 mL |
| Decarboxylated CBD Flowers, ground | 28 g |
| Decarboxylated CBD Leaves, dried and ground | 56 g |
Preparation
1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter and add water over medium heat.
2. Stir in the CBD.
3. Reduce heat to low and let simmer gently for 5 hours, stirring every 90 minutes. Do not boil.
4. While cooking, prepare a strainer or sieve lined with cheesecloth over a large glass bowl.
5. After 5 hours, slowly pour the butter through the cheesecloth into the bowl. Press the CBD with a spatula to extract all butter.
6. Fold the cheesecloth and use the spatula to push any remaining butter into the bowl. Discard the cheesecloth.
7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 3 hours (overnight is better). The mixture will separate into solid butter and water.
8. Remove the butter from the fridge, discard the water, and release the butter using a butter knife.
9. Transfer the butter to a glass jar with lid and store in the fridge or freezer.
